Aims and objectives
To support the digital transformation of museum education and cultural heritage training, the objectives of MUSEDU+ are to:
- Develop innovative digital learning tools and training methodologies for museums and cultural institutions.
- Strengthen the digital, pedagogical, and professional skills of museum staff, educators, and cultural heritage operators.
- Promote the integration of emerging technologies into museum education and lifelong learning processes.
- Encourage international cooperation and knowledge exchange among cultural and educational organizations.
- Foster more accessible, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Target groups
MUSEDU+ is designed to support and engage the following target groups:
- Museum professionals and museum staff.
- Cultural heritage operators and practitioners.
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers.
- Teachers, trainers, and educators.
- University students and lifelong learners.
- Museums, cultural organizations, and heritage institutions.
- Public bodies and stakeholders involved in culture, education, and innovation.
Results
Through its activities and collaborative approach, MUSEDU+ will deliver the following results:

Three types of users of Musedu+ platforms are distinguished:
Learners are users who take part in the training and educational activities developed within MUSEDU+. In addition to benefiting from Community features, they gain access to specialised learning materials, digital courses, training modules, assessments, collaborative learning environments and practical activities. They can monitor their learning progress, interact with Teachers and Tutors and participate in Training-on-the-Job and e-Stage activities through the Smart Working System. Learners are the core beneficiaries of the project’s educational pathway and contribute to building a more skilled and innovative museum workforce across Europe.
Community Members are registered users who actively participate in the MUSEDU+ network and Community of Practice. This group may include museum professionals and operators, educators, trainers, researchers, students, policy makers and other stakeholders interested in museum communication, education and digital innovation. Through the Platform, they can access authorised resources, participate in forums and thematic groups, exchange knowledge and best practices, interact with other members and contribute to the development of a European Community of Practice dedicated to the future of museums and their audiences.
Visitors are all individuals interested in exploring the MUSEDU+ project, its activities and results. They can freely access public information about the project, including its objectives, partners, news, events, publications and educational resources made available to the public. Visitors do not require registration and can explore the public sections of the Portal to discover how MUSEDU+ supports innovation, digital learning and international collaboration in the museum sector.
A network committed to innovation in museum education
The MUSEDU+ partnership brings together seven organisations from four European countries — Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain — combining museum expertise, academic competences and advanced digital skills. It unites leading museums, two specialised universities and a technology consortium in a multidisciplinary collaboration focused on the digital transition of the museum sector, vocational education and innovative approaches to museum communication and teaching. Together, the partners contribute knowledge, resources and best practices to ensure the successful implementation and long-term impact of the project.
